Posted on 04:10 by tony
If you didn't yet sign-up for the Media 5 Mile Race this June 20th, you're out of luck.  The cap of 1,600 has been met.  Fear not though, as the house parties that take part during this evening are becoming just as big as the race itself.    Informally known as Media's Mardi Gras (Fit Friday), many throughout the borough setup along the race course to cheer the runners on. And the Best Taco in Media is.......................?

Posted on 17:04 by tony
When people come up to me on the street and tell me they have a good recommendation for food, I listen.  When it happens frequently with the same eatery being mentioned, I really pay attention because I always have time to listen to those who have an enthusiastic story about Media - with food being the topic of discussion, that's even better.

Things are about to get interesting.....and delicious

Elecion Primary Day 2014

Posted on 03:53 by tony
For the most part turnout out will be on the light side for today's election primary, as the only real race in contention is who the people will choose as the democratic nominee for governor this fall to take on incumbent, Tom Corbett.  With four democratic candidates including Tom Wolf, Rob McCord, Allyson Schwartz and Katie McGinty; that'll be a close one to watch.

On the republican side you

Media in Two Minutes

Every Sunday at about 5am I wake up to write Media in Two Minutes.  Typically, I just start typing with the hope I can "Brain Dump" everything that took place within the last week.  25% of the stuff I forget (it is 5am after all), 25% I don't even want to know about, and the rest makes it to this page.

That all worked successfully up until a few months ago. However, now

Third Street Bridge - Media Borough Council is not functioning due to Political Agendas

Posted on 11:51 by tony
Having sat in Judge Proud's courtroom this morning listening to yet another hearing on the Third Street Bridge; I can only sadly say that the fiasco continues with no real break through on fixing the matter.  It is becoming very apparent though that Media Borough Council is not functioning as a governing body, but believe it or not, that's not the worst part the community should be concerned

Baltimore Avenue. I spoke to a few people close to the matter and found out that this has a ways yet to go before the needed purchase/
